After the Austin Star of TX show we came home and let our our sons show heifer out on grass with the herd.  (1st place there and San Antonio, reserve overall Kerrville!)
Thinking she'd maybe lose some weight, she has gotten huge!
Domino is due to "domino" July 25.  I was wondering though some of our other heifers (her sisters) seem to making a a little bag while she's not.  When I say big I mean has widened as well as deepened in size.  Seems taller as well.  She's a ChiMaine out of a Angus/Maine cow.  Shouldn't she be bagging soon?

I guess it could all depend on breeds, bloodlines, etc, but alot of our first calf heifers start to develop a bag a month and a half to two months out. I have 15 or so of our first calf heifers that are due to calve late july to first of august that are develping bags. Are they big bags like before they calve, no, but they are starting to fill out.

I wouldn't worry about it until after she calves.  I've got a cow that I swear is open every year until she bags down a week before she calves.  She has enough milk for two calves.
