I try to challenge myself each time I post. I use the spell checker & see if I can get an entire post without any mistakes. It makes me think of the correct spelling by sounding out words. Those that I can't find in the program I look up in the dictionary. I think too many people rely on their word program to correct their mistakes or just don't try. We need to get back to using dictionaries & just knowing how to spell in the first place.
I'm a terrible speller but have to say this has helped me a lot. The spell check program is the 3rd button next to the preview before you send your message.

Thank you so much for this. Spelling and grammar mistakes sorta bother me. I know you make accidents and realize it, which is OK. But when you do it constantly, ugh I can't take that. Try to be more careful!

i told Kanshow I'm becoming my grandmother. she always corrected our grammar when we were younger. Back then I found it annoying. now I know what she meant.
Actually poor spelling & poor grammar reflects on you for future jobs, in speech contests, writing letter & just in many walks of life.
Wasn't picking on anyone, just wanted to let you know what I like to do.

Hey Angusboy1... You get an A+ from me as long as you just try. It's the people who don't try that I have a problem with. I need to use Spell Check myself, but sometimes forget. Posting frequently improves your writing and spelling skills. Keep up the good work.

alot times when you highlight something and have a obsessive clicking disorder like me lol  ;D it drags parts of words that you highlighted where ever you drop them

My problem is NOT that I cannot spell..... it is simply that my fingers CAN"T type! I also have a terrible habit of hitting the "post" button before I have done a complete spell check. Oftentimes, when I re-read my posts once they are posted I wonder about myself. This thread as again reminded me to make a conscious decision to do a better job of proofing my messages.

I think if some would just take the time to reread their posts before they hit send they'd see some of the mistakes.

JIT, I'm like you, my fingers just don't hit the right keys always!!!

Telos- I think you do a great job posting! especially considering your learning problems.
