Steer Planet Consignment Auction

Any interest in a Steer Planet Consignment Auction?  I had some interest of a few people wanting to sell a few calves, but don't want to host their own full blown auction.

Cost would be $25 per sold lot, no charge if your lot doesn't sell.
Your lot can be reserve, no reserve, or have a minimum starting price.
Auction would be a horse race style finish in the last 5 minutes.

If it works out well, we could do this fairly often.

I would be interested.  I have two Shorthorn bulls that were born in May that I would like to sell.    If you would let bulls sell.

Would definitely be interested in a spring auction. I know several people who always have a couple of really good ones (me included) that could potentially benefit from an auction like this. It would allow those one or two calves from several breeders that could compete on a regional or possibly national level to get national exposure. There are so many people trying to raise club calves these days that most potential buyers only want your best one anyway (especially the traders). Hope this works out.

Jason-- I would be interested also to be able to put my top calves in to get some more exposure.  Question-- would you set requirements on the calves being broke and clipped?  I traditionally sell "raw" to customers because I don't have the time or manpower to break calves every fall.  Besides I always joke with my customers that that is 1/2 the fun-- breaking your calf-- it is part of the project learning process!

We would definitely be interested in late summer next year.  A great way for those of us just starting out to get some calves sold.
