YuppieCowboy asked for a special thread for the Neil's. They were victims of the tornando that hit IA. Not only did they loose bulidings and material items but they lost almost their entire herd.
Yuppie said they are some of the niecest people & hope you would take time to think & pray from them.

Has there been some type of fund set up? Can people nearby lend any assistance? Also any updates would be appreciated.

Received this email today:

Hi guys – Their temporary address is:

Todd and Alisa Neil
407 Corey Street
Fairbank, IA 50629

There is also an account set up for donations at:

Home State Bank
203 3rd Avenue
Royal, IA 51357
Make checks payable to Todd and Alisa Neil

For the most part they were able to salvage most of their belongings so they’re pretty good there – I think the hardest thing for them is the cows and calves. It was very hard to see something that has taken years to build turned up side down in minutes and there’s nothing you can do. The problem with insurance is that you can only put a small value on your livestock, so down the road it may be nice if they have a rainy day fund that they can use to build their cow herd back, so if you talk to anyone that wants to help, I think that will be a great place to start – insurance will rebuild barns and a house but the cow herd will be the hardest part to replace.

thank you so much Justamom.

We all don't realize how good our lives are until something like this happens to someone else.

no. not any more. only citizens of Parkersburg are able to clean. over 180 national guard, 80 state troopers, and the entire 9th battalion of the national guard are going in to help. a sheriff in Minnesota found a bunch of medical records from the pharmacy in the city in his backyard. the gov't is now worried about identity theft, so official personnel are now heading the clean-up. with all of that personal info strewn across Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan, this nightmare isn't even close to being over yet.
