Just thought I'd give an update on how our Troubador calves are turning out. Attached are two Troubador calves I've clipped. A year from now I'll be able to tell you how they feed out.
The steer is out of a Bold Statement cow.
The heifer is out of a Playmate/Meyer GD that was my son's first show heifer. Needless to say he's not letting me sell her.
Neither of these calves were even on my radar for our best ones until they were a good 60 days old. As I've posted before, I've never seen a group of calves some on more.
I've got a handful of other Troubador heifers that aren't far behind this one that we'd love to find homes for. All are out of black, non-carrier cows.
