I went out to check the bull this morning and he has a bump a little smaller than a dime and about a 1/4 inch high (maybe a little smaller) on the inside of his ear towards the top. It is smooth, it doesnt look like a wart, it just looks like you just put something round just under his skin. I doubt that it is going to affect his health but i would still like to know what it is ???. I also saw deer tracks around his pen this moring.

P.S. i was in botany yesterday and we were talking about poinsettas(that christmas flower) and its suppose to be poisonous but it is suppose to make your warts go away if you put the milk from the plant on it. Just thought that was interesting.

How old is your bull? The reason that I ask, is that I personally have never seen a bovine older than 18months or so have warts. Warts are caused by many strains of virus, that being said, once they have had warts, they are immune for the virus. I am not 100 % sure about this, so wiser minds please advise freely.

He will be 18 months on december 11. But i dont think its a wart thats why i was wondering what it was :))). I still have a lot to learn about cattle but it doesnt look dangerous or like a wart. We are gonna put him in the squeeze chute and take a look when my mom gets home (he wont keep his head still long enough to get a good look... he likes to scratch and doesnt really love his ears being played with.)
