I have a high school boy coming to clip my daughter's hogs before her show.  He will not give me a price - but I definitely want to pay him.  We will have the hogs washed and dried and he will be using the FFA's clippers.  What is a fair price to pay him??

Thanks!  I was thinking about giving him $40 - $45 for the two,  but did not want to offend him.  Plus,  I want to know he will come back next year if I need him!!

I would throw a hot meal in there, too. You get that kid at your dinner table, then you have a cow shot giver for life. We have a very successful former hand that takes vacation from his job to come and help us put in CIDR's. We still pay him by the hour and a hot meal, but I suspect it is the company and the scenery that brings him back.
