Anyone got any bad stories? I saw a nice one at Denver but the calf was a handful. All the cows I have are great in disposition and are handled by me and the kids so dont want any tough ones. Any experiences are welcome. We are ordering semen early this year and I need to get my list together and it is down to YJ or Troubadour for colour. Thanks Frostie.

I haven't had that many, but they've all just been fine.  I've never heard of his calves being unusually ornery.  I wouldn't worry about him on that at all.

I REALLY like this bull.  Just use him on smaller calves, because they do have plenty of grow to them.

I second what Chambero said.  I would guess that any bull can have a bad egg head once in a while.  His granddad was Habanero and he had some egg heads, but Lifeline calves seem to have great dispositions.  My bull is a lifeline by a Jazz cow, so he his a double bred Habanero.  When I weaned him I clipped his head in the chute without a head or nose holder.  He is a pussy cat.  But I have one heifer out of him in two years that she runs at anything.  Her mother has a great disposition but the granddam did not.  She went back to a bull that was a rascal, Sugar Ray.

How has he calved for you. Just wanting to see where he will be BW wise. Am thinking about ordering some of him early as well.
