You thought Faber's steer moved well? I suggest you watch the video on IPTV. He puts on a good look when he is stopped, but on the move those back two feet don't work very well. His pasterns snapped on every step he took.

There was  very good thread just like this one last year. I don't believe he is asking anyone specifically on here if they have good calves for sale, he is just wanting to know places people have been looking at calves the last month or so, and seen really, really good ones.

Yes it is the meat being sold at the sale. But it does not matter if your dad buys your steer or someone you have never meet before, you can still get DNA so you can clone your calf if you would like. The IFAA has paperwork you have to fill out before the sale just stating what you would like...

At the Sale of Champions it was announced that Faber's Grand Champion steer was indeed a clone.

Iowa State works well with the exhibitors and you can get DNA off of your winning animal after the Sale of Champions. I'm not saying they did or didn't get DNA before the fair, I am just saying that it is possible for them to get it after the sale.
