How long has she had the symptoms and is she in with any other calves/cattle? The good news is that if recognized fairly early enough, coccidiosis treatment is highly effective. The coccidia has an extended life cycle, and that is why you may want to treat the whole herd (or those in her pen)...

Who performed the c-section and how did that go? Talk to your vet to see if oxytocin could help in this case.

Just a comment on that. There is NO WAY that I would EVER put an embryo into a cow that hasn't bred back in a few years.

Obviously the first choice is to get rid of her. HOWEVER, I don't typically advise this, BUT On alot of smaller farms it isn't practical or even an option to just get rid of a high dollar cow. The only way for you to really have a good idea would be to have a vet come out and check her along...

If that's the one I'd probably look for another bull. If your not wanting purebred hereford steers, which in TX you dont, why not use a percentage? I think there's better hereford, or hereford appearing bulls out there that would be a better choice.

I've tried playing but for me the game took forever to play and it didn't load very fast. I lost interest pretty quick, but there are alot of my friends/family on their that play it pretty regular. I always get messages about so and so find a lost cow on there or so and so gave you this and that.

That doesn't surprise me. Just about anything has more muscle than angus, especially commerical angus. What type of maine bulls do you use in your herd?
