    Thoughts on these Alamo calves?

Functional and useful, both of them.

    Gilmans Envied

The first time I saw Envied he was running with heifers at Sullivan's, so he has some eye appeal.  We stopped to see Hot Commodity.  The next year I saw Envied running with cows at Gilman's and was very impressed by the Gilman operation as well as Envied.  Envied sires calves with some length...

Your thoughts on some Shorthorn AI Sires

I have not used the bulls you are looking at with the exception of our own, but here is my $.02 worth. A few years ago I visited Dale Studer to have a look at his Saskvalley Tradition calves.  His sale catalog was being finished that day so I got the quick tour, which was very understandable. ...

CORONA TIME- CREEPY CALLING ALL FRUITCAKES THE NUT IS ON HERE

Back to topic. Sue, a lady I knew, died from COVID last week in the 2nd aged-care facility in our county to be hit by the virus.  The first facility lost maybe 15 residents, one of which was a classmate of mine.  I have a granddaughter in quarantine until Thursday.  It is hitting close to home...

    Herd Bull Pictures

Your roan bull has a lot of utility.  There are a bunch of good people and high quality cattle behind him--that's a good combo.

Duncraggan, JJC Wild Side was no bigger than a frame score 4.  His daughters may average frame 5 due to the growth genetics of their dams.

    Milk EPD

No, I miscounted--your calf brought 2 friends home for dinner.  Harold Thieman spoke about a bull calf that weighed maybe 750 lb. at weaning.  Harold told the County Agent running the scales to knock off 100 pounds, because the calf was a robber.

There is semen available again at Cattle Visions.  Homeplace Hot Commodity 1625 was collected last week.  Thank you for your patience.

    Kenbar Paul Jaremco

The bottom photo is Homeplace Hot Commodity 1816, and he is spoken for.  He is over 5/8 related to Homeplace Hot Commodity 1625, the bull in the top 2 photos. I dropped off a Perfect Count red heifer calf (after a state sale) somewhere in the hills of SW IN many years ago and told the new owner...

    Bull libido problems

Someone's bull was never observed serving a cow.  However, that bull sired a full calf crop, born on time, with him working evidently only at night?  Or did their bull just wait until his owner was out of sight?  Your bull is young, but some old bulls serve each cow only once.

    Got Milk?

Weaning weight of a cow's calves is the best way to measure milk production in beef cow.  Or not?  Harold Thieman/TPS said that he told his county agent (helping weigh at weaning) to "knock off 100 lb." of a fat bull calf's weight since he was a "robber." Environment has a way of sneaking up...

Sneed's 034 should have some value.  Sue, here on Steerplanet, might know what it is worth.

As Mark suggested we used Fresh Air on a few cows that are soggy and very moderate.

    Intimidator

A neighbor was cleaning out his tank and gave me some Shorthorn semen on Intimidator.  Numbers on the pink straw are 129 and SS 151.  There is no registration number.  Maybe it was collected about June of 1995.  Does anyone remember Intimidator?  Bulls during this time period often carried too...
