A well-known Angus breeder saw Byland Goldwalk and said he could sell black bulls like Goldwalk to commercial customers all day long.

UPDATE Homeplace Hot Commod AUG 22-on pge3-4 ADDED SOME Fresh Air

Besides the influence of his sire and grandsire, Hot Commodity and Wild Side, 1625 has some conformation similarity to Waukaru Gold Mine 2109, one of Waukaru's top sires.  Gold Mine had extra thickness and depth, and he has stood the test of time.  As a yearling Gold Mine was most impressive...

UPDATE Homeplace Hot Commod AUG 22-on pge3-4 ADDED SOME Fresh Air

Homeplace Hot Commodity 1625 is Mr. Moderate and may be a heifer bull, but it is too early to tell.  His genomics will be tested to increase the accuracy of his numbers.  1625 is DS free.  His grandam and great, great, grandams (Fair Lady 0909 and 0415) are two-time Performance Dams and still...

Can someone at the Nat Jr Shorthorn show take a cell pic if the bull is there ?

JSF Broker is roan on his pedigree.  Most likely he is what we used to call "dark roan," that appears red from a distance.  Broker sired a roan heifer for us out of a red cow, so his pedigree must be right.

Would someone be willing to list the individual and average prices for the Cates fall 2018 sale?  Or maybe start a new thread since this one is a mixture of their 2010 event and the current sale....

    2018 Herd Bull Line Up

Delux is impressive in his photo.  It would be difficult to find another pair of herd bulls with EPD's any better than his and Belvedere's.  Belvedere is pleasing to the eye, and that is in his work clothes.  Have you considered offering semen on them?

    Logos

Our Homeplace Farms logo was created from a photo and drawn by someone at the American Shorthorn Association.  There may be an artist available at your breed magazine--Shorthorn, Red Angus, etc.  The cost was very reasonable.

    Big Ticket

Did he bring $18K?  JSF was excited about him--they exhibit at Denver each year and have bred several high-dollar Shorthorn bulls.  His dam is a great one.  Big Ticket is a young bull, so there is only one calf so far on DigitalBeef, and experience with him is likely limited.

    Big Ticket

His pedigree is outcross, real-world, and created by serious Shorthorn breeders.  Maybe someone can post a photo?

    Saskvalley Yesterday

Why not call up Gilman's and ask them?  They are very impressive people and tell it like it is.  They own Saskvalley Alliance and have also used Yesterday.  I saw Envied running with cows last summer, and he and his calves looked really good.

    Shorty hf bulls

Your Alamo bull is a combo of a lot of good traits, including CEM.  Too many bulls are not sufficient in CEM, and calving without assistance is a big deal to most of my customers as well as here.  Since Teddy was bred by Keith Lauer, I'm wondering if his CEM will improve some over time--most KL...
