What a truly amazing story....  Such a great young man that touched so many lives.  This certainly choked me up as I read it to my husband.  God bless all those that were involved.

    horse wormer "police"?

linnette, I work at Tractor Supply.  I'm curious as to which store this was.  We do not have our horse wormer in a locked up case at our store.  Our Ivomec, Frontline and Dog shock collars, as well as power tools are locked up.  Also, we lock our vaccine cooler.  That is to prevent customers...

    Boring ole cow pics

LOL, RW I laughed my butt off.  He asked me if I had to post THAT picture after I told him what you said.  I could have posted the one of him scratching his neck I guess....  8) Romax, thanks, but I certainly do like my Herefords.  I've got a Hereford bull that most people would have to love...

    Boring ole cow pics

Freddy, they are half sisters.  I posted some pics earlier last month of the second heifer.  Long story short, too many cows for the yearling bull I was going to put out.  My uncle got ahold of a Maine cross bull of Clayton Fryes when he sold a bunch of cattle and he was put out on my cows.  All...

Hmmmmm, Kanshow, sure glad I've got you on my side LOL!  I'm planning on weaning them mid-September at the earliest.  They'll all be 6 to 6 1/2 mos. then.  They are just outside of Manhattan and easy to look at if you ever want to take a look! Thanks Zach, if I had a whole pen like him, I'd be...

Thanks guys.  I've never been into the show steer deal, and honestly I don't plan to keep any of the females.  Long story short, I took a job in CO in which I was supposed to be able to take my cows along.  I moved up there, and SUPRISE, I was told that I couldn't bring them, there wasn't enough...

    CRR About Time 743

Looking at P606's pedigree, he was destined to be a higher birthweight bull.  Not saying hard calving, just heavier calves....

    Calf Pictures

Here's a couple pictures of some calves I've got running around here.  I'd be interested in marketing them, but not even sure how to price them.  Any thoughts you would have on these calves and how to price them (you can pm me if you want) would be appreciated.  The pictures aren't the best as...

Red Angus herd sires at RW's

RW, That Walkerton is the ugliest bull I've ever seen....  You better just send him to me and let me hide him for a while....  I'd do that for a good friend like you!!  ;D Looks like as good and honest set of bulls as I've seen in a while.  Good luck with him!

JIT, Those are dang good cattle and I don't care what breed or color they are.  I believe those are some of the best model cows I've seen in a while.  Congrats to you for having such quality.  Makes me even consider a shorty!  ;D

    Polled Heifer Not So Polled

Her grandmother and her grandfather are both horned so there is a good chance the horned gene came through.  Do you have any pictures of your heifer's "horns"?  You should be able to tell by looking at this point whether she is officially horned or scurred.  Bulls are a lot more likely to have...
