    Favorite Hereford Bull

I was a big fan of Remitall Embracer 8E....  I sure like Remitall Online 122L pretty dang well too.  He had a heck of a mother.  Really liked CS Boomer 29F The Pure Golds sure have a look. There aren't a lot of young bulls out there right now that I'm too high on...  I'm sure I'll find one...

    F-350 6.4L Powerstroke - N/C

We traded a 2004 6.0L Powerstroke with 86K on it.  We'd replaced the front end and the hubs wouldn't unlock. It got 15mpg highway on a good day and 12 pulling a 20 ft. steel trailer. I had a 2002 V-10 with 122K and I loved it.  Didn't pull as strong as the powerstroke, but drug my 20' Aluminum...

    hairy heel warts.....help

We got them when the cow herd was moved to Kansas from Connecticut.  We cleaned the foot with soapy water and drizzled on a mix of DMSO and LA200.  About 5 days of that and they were gone.  I got them in 5 out of 40 critters, but they haven't ever come back either.  Disinfect everything you use...

    Heat Wave 100

I know frostback, just stirring the pot a little!  ;)  I wouldn't use him, but I'm not a clubby producer.  My cows got bred to a Maine cross bull last summer.  It was a little beyond my control and after all the calves but one have been over 100lbs, it's pretty obvious I won't be keeping any of...

    Heat Wave 100

Extremely gifted young man (not exactly cattle related)

I start quite a few colts myself, but there is definately some "hidden talent" out there and my hat goes off to them.  I saw a guy from ND work miracles on some colts that went in my aunt and uncle's production sale last fall.  I have nothing but the utmost respect for him as well.  It's dang...

Sale went well I'm told.  Guy and RD are good guys and have been good friends for quite a while.  I'll try to get official numbers.

    OCC Homer

This heifer that calved would have had "theoretically" no problem handling a 85-90 lb calf.  She's 2 1/2 stout, athletic, and in good shape.  The calf is starting to take off a little and the cow has a ton of milk.  I've got plans to AI her, but again, I'm not into clubby's, but if I sell a calf...

    OCC Homer

No simmi's thanks.  Don't mean to be rude, just not interested.  I'm just looking for good honest commercial money making cattle, and after myself and another guy have had a few of these Homer calves I was just curious as to what to expect.  I'm only going to have the one and he's been banded. ...

    OCC Homer

Not looking for a show calf per say, just not impressed with this one.  They better come assisted if they are small as this one is.  I don't have a good picture of her, but she's a really thick, soggy black baldy.  Sired Hereford.  Just commercial. There's a lot of good Ohlde bulls out there...

    OCC Homer

Had a good friend looking after my cows for me while we were in Colorado and my cows had to stay behind.  When he AI'd his heifers he did mine as well and she was bred to OCC Homer.  I bought the heifer at the side of her mother, she is a fall calf that I turned spring calving.  So, she's 2 1/2...

    hairy heel warts

We got them after the cows had been shipped from Connecticut to Kansas.  Vet had us scrub them enough to get dirt/mud off then mix LA-200 with DMSO and squirt on slowly.  The DMSO helps with the absorption and the pain.  Usually after 3 days they were gone.  Had a big bull get it, that wasn't...

    Whew!

About 2 1/2 weeks ago, my one year old neice came to stay with us for a while.  Her mother is in Iraq and her daddy had to be gone for military training.  Let me tell you this aunt that has no kids is one worn out gal!  She is cute, but that temper is very evident with that red hair!!!!  Here's...

    Strange Cattle Deaths

Three years ago to the day, I got a call from our hired man as he was feeding, 9 head of yearling heifers had walked out on the pond and fell through the ice.  Lost all of them.  We fenced that pond and all the other ponds that cows had access too.  One week later, I fed my horses hay but they...
