Duke was definitely horned, pretty sure clean on all 3 and I always like my Duke daughters.

A pretty much all red Shorthorn bull that sired class winners

If you are going by AJ's original specs, most of these wouldn't sire a class winner in a show today. They might have sired some in their day but they wouldn't sire the class winners today in my opinion. I owned Irish Marc and then sold him after 3 years because the calves were ok, just not great...

A pretty much all red Shorthorn bull that sired class winners

Still kicking out calves. Weaned a real nice November, solid red Hill Haven Distinction bull calf off of her a couple of weeks ago. Yea, Red Hot is thicker than what the picture shows. He puts a real nice hip on his calves that carries down into their lower 1/4 real well. Not saying he is club...

I can hook him up with some. I don't have much left but I do have some. He actually made some pretty decent daughters. I hated when I had to ship him.

The semen is through me. We are jumping him this coming week. We have been very pleased with his calves out of the purebred and the commercial cows both.

A pretty much all red Shorthorn bull that sired class winners

I'll throw in SLF Red Hot Commodity. He is loaded with calving ease with being sired by Hot Commodity and his dam is a Red Demand dtr out of a Red Reward cow. Then throw in Destiny Best cow family. He has sired both Champions at the 2019 TN Agribition sale in his first crop. Definitely throws...

    Concealed / Open Firearms Carry

Heath, I carry everyday. That being said I don't openly carry. I truly carry concealed, because if I'm somewhere and someone is fixing to rob it then I don't want to be the one they shoot first then tell the clerk "it's a stick up". I do want to know that like you, that I am able to protect...

    Red Dirt Treasure sale

I don't know about recycled. I know Double G has been buying good eggs, flushes and donors for a few years. These cattle are a product of those choices it looks like. The cattle have some good genetics behind them for the most part. There is some in there from Lazy Bar F and the LBD herd that I...

    Hot Commodity son

Sold a bull last year to a guy that didn't have any cows. Knew he wanted a Shorthorn bull, but was trying to decide what kind of cows to buy. Had one guy with Angus cows that wanted a roan bull because he didn't tag his calves and he was hoping that he would get some markings on the calves so...

I forgot about Blue Moon. I know Josh has been very pleased with those calves.

Blue roan or white shorthorn calving ease?

KOLT Kane Nitro !!! For sure calving ease, without getting a throw away calf. Here is a pic of 2 yr old while nursing her 1st calf. Another one that I like the looks of but haven't used, is the bull Zane Martin, Promiseland Cattle has. I think he is supposed to be calving ease.

    head chute plans

Look at Craigslist or some pages on Facebook. You will be able to find a used one for probably cheaper than you could make one and probably more sturdy.

Yes, the Sonny has been selling about the same. I believe I have some Sonny that I would sell for $350/straw plus shipping.

    Direct marketing of Shorthorn beef

You know AJ, I've often wondered why the Shorthorn Assoc. hasn't done something like a 1 page tri-folder helping small breeders promote the qualities of Shorthorn beef when they sell home grown beef? We sell about 12 to 14 head a year for freezer beef. The money spent on something like this...
