we did a pretty extensive search about this bull before including contacting a variety of people - records and tagging and tattooing were apparently not well done/kept on this bull - apparently he will remain a mystery forever ....I find his name with empty sire and dam in a variety of searches...

PTR - rear view - suspicious of DS - a condition with variable presentation but affects only the lower rear leg - ear notch or purple top tube would be better than hair if you can do it - thanks

The dam of Heat Waves sire (Heat Seeker) is a Shorthorn cow - it would be good to get a rear picture - close up of the lower part of the legs - do the dew claws look misaligned to you?? Look at the pictures on this thread and see if they are similar to your calf...

Interesting pedigree on the bull especially on the bottom - not exactly total outcross as the Revolution bull goes back to Executive......I think Magic would work well on this cow :)

The only good answer to your question is that you will know down the road and not before - if the blood supply to the testicles was sufficiently disrupted, then the cells will die and the bull will become a non bull; if however the blood supply was not sufficiently disrupted the testicles might...

IMHO you should not pick a breed but a specific calf - find the most docile calm calf you can for her..there are loops and docile calves in every breed .. often the best calves for first timers are orphans and or bottle babies who have no flight zone and are respectful of humans ...check around  .
