I asked about data bank this fall. The answer I got is that he was ok on maternal bred hfrs but not clubby bred ones. I really like the bull and his progeny but will wait til to use him on 2nd calvers. I err on the side of caution with hfrs. Jmo

1301 is better than 1299 , but like jive Turkey said, 1350-1375 is ideal

That would be up to you. Bismark semen is harder to find. $50-100 for conventional,  $250ish for female semen. Brilliance is $25 conventional,  $50 for hfr and readily available thru ABS

No, the brilliance cattle are really good imo. And you can get sexed hfr semen from ABS for $50

Bismark is a little easier fleshing than unbelievable.  Unbelievable will add more muscle however.  Imo,  bismark is the better bull to make lower maintenance,  eye appealing cattle. Bismarks females are very sought after. That's my $0.02 worth.

Agree, also would throw in igwt as a good candidate for your cow.

I dont have any experience with this bull. Just shared the link to his semen for sale. Hopefully someone will chime in with first hand experience  <beer>

Agree.  I prefer to see a natural heat if I'm going to conventional flush.  You can always IVF her tho. That would be my recommendation.  (thumbsup)
