Curious if anyone has any calves on the ground out of him yet?  I am specifically curious around his use on heifers. Those calving ease and BW numbers actually got better.  :o

So I pulled a CIDR on a cow Sunday evening, and gave 6 CC of Lutylase.  I have not seen any heat at all on her through today.  When is the best time to breed her based off of timed AI?  Tonight, or tomorrow morning?

I am sure there are.  Charmayne James cloned Scamper.  I think she calls him Clayton.  He has different markings but he is a clone of her great barrel horse.

It is amusng to me that the bull that wins the Simmental breed doesn't work most times on Simmental cows.

Another option that you might not want to hear is Back a trailer up to the small pen, let her run onto the trailer, and haul her away. Some just aren't made to be broke, can't be broke, etc.  There is no use you or someone in your family getting hurt over her.  There are plenty of good heifers...

It should not have even been that close.  As far as Simmental's go the conversation should start and end with Dream On.  Steel Force has had a handful of good calves but as kfacres stated they all come out of fantastic cows.  The bull Ironman that sold on Pine Ridge's bull sale was a solid bull...

It is hard to find a solid producing Simmental cow without having 600U somewhere on the paper. I haven't been overly impressed with the Sundance Kid calves.  Several complete duds.  The bull calves seem to have a lot of growth to them.  The heifers aren't much to look at.  One common factor...

I'd happily take both of these bulls over the bulls in the Star Power / Black Max matchup.
