The key is the word "show." No different than a dog show where animals are groomed and trimmed.  A show indicates presenting your item in it's best, blemish-free, light. Car show, cleaned, waxed, engine and wheels enhanced etc....

Could not agree more.  The day of a show, you should not be rinsing and hour or two before going in the ring.  It takes awhile for the natural oils to get back on the hair and hide.

NEVER and I mean NEVER purchase a calf with out seeing it in person. Horrible cattle can be made to look much more powerful through posing and standing on an incline. Plus, who knows if a pic has been Photoshopped. Online auctions while great for the seller are a disaster waiting to happen...

I am not a hereford guy in the least but I saw a show on RFD-TV this past weekend about the Star Lake Hereford dispersal. I have NEVER, in all of my life, seen Hereford cattle of this quality and structure. Best Hereford cattle I've ever seen. Assuming this will be a high $$ dispersal.
