Uhh, don't you mean "they're laughing"? Maybe that's why they're laughing at you. Most people make fun of guys with smokestacks for a reason not having to do with being a redneck.

I have to tell you, when I see trucks with stacks shooting out tons of exhaust, I'm shocked that they aren't pulled over for pollution. I'm a life-long Republican but find the exhaust spewing diesels absolutely deplorable, filthy, and pointless. Seriously, what's the point?
