    Iphone App?????????

I currently develop Android apps.  Iphone apps are just too big of a pain to get anything into their app store.  The real need for cell phone apps, where websites are concerned, is to make it easier for the user to consume information.  If you put a website in your browser you're resizing...

    Anyone tried Bovipreg

Depends.  I run alot of old show heifers.  They're just too lazy to be good markers.  You add in the heat of summer and that can stop the riding in its tracks.

    Anyone tried Bovipreg

Thanks for the input.  I did order some.  I plan on using it as a trial with BioPryn.  No decisions will be made on my end until I get the results from the blood tests or if I see one of my cows actually in standing heat.

    Anyone tried Bovipreg

This is a pregnancy test that can be given 18 days post insemination.  Anyone tried it?  What did you think? http://twilcanada.com/products_html.html

Almost Famous x Who Made Who/Angus Momma

I wish all of my calves(bulls at least) looked like that at 12 hours!  My straight angus take a little bit to come into their own.  Cool! Cool! Cool!

    Heifer Bulls

I know this bull is brand new but i'm planning on using Silveiras Style on some heifers.  I love the look and they are coming easy!

Hello Style! (Must See 2 year old picture)

Same here! I've got one right now that I'm really excited about!  I've already ordered more semen.  I'll try to get some pics now that we are finally starting to dry up!

    embryo birth weights

I don't pay attention to birth weights on ET calves.  I always tell the actual birth weights to my customers but I look at the history of the dam and the sire.  The recip will influence the weight of the calf.

    Naming Cattle

I've talked to a couple sale managers at length on naming conventions and was told that the worst thing you can do is seperate a female from an established cow family by changing the traditional cow family name.  With that said on paper they are one thing and in the show barn they get cool...

    BC LOOKOUT

I'm using him a little this year.  I've got some cows that need some moderation and maybe a little punch of style and muscle.  I'm hoping he'll do the trick.

How do you select the bull(s) you are going to breed to?

flacowman, I really do wonder how I select.  I said earlier that I go off of look first, but I know there have been bulls that I've dismissed because something in their pedigree hit me wrong.  Some EPDs are so terrible that I don't even think of using a bull no matter what he looks like.  I like...

How do you select the bull(s) you are going to breed to?

I don't find this foolish at all!  Every program has different goals and plans.  What works in one section of the country doesn't hold true in others.  We tend to try to get everything calved out before March 31 because it seems that nobody wants a bull born after this date.  Other people around...

How do you select the bull(s) you are going to breed to?

This is close to what I do with my purebreds however they need to have the look before I even consider them.  As an angus breeder I think that there are enough Angus bulls out there that you should be able to find a balance.  Once I find a bull that I think will work phenotypically I look at the...

    SAV Brilliance

I posted on this a while back but did end up trying him on two cows at the end of the breeding season.  I wouldn't worry too much on disposition.  I've seen a bunch at cattle sales and they didn't strike me as wild by any means.  The were actually pretty quiet.  I won't get my calves till late...

    SAV Bismarck calves

This is a bull that will be really appreciated for his ability to make good cows.  I've seen a couple show well but most have too much front end.  If you were to use him I'd definitely use him on your cleaner fronted females.
