Mark I have one of them ( the JPJ Daughter). She is moderate framed. She's bred to a IW son and due around March / April. After she calves I'm going to AI her to WHR RT RF Stone 7116 ( Bloodstone son).

Ernest can do it all. He has a nice facility and a set of working pen I would love to have.

You have to remember that a small % of these calves make it to the show ring. So if the other % goes to the feedlot to be feed out and they can't walk; Then they are not gaining like they should so the feed lot is loosing $. The first thing I look for is how good he or she moves. JMO cjc

I seen some good Char X Shorts heifers at the Belt Buckle this year. If you type in Yellow Jacket calves ( you will get him and the bucking bull called Yellow Jacket); there are a couple of nice ones on the net. I have a Shotie and I going to AI her to Yellow Jacket.

I believe you can brush till your arm falls off, but if you don't have Genetics,Genetics,Genetics it,s not going to happen. My daughters first heifer was hairy as all get out when she was little. Now as cow she is slick as all get out. She is a Brangus X Maine.  

I would dye her belly to make her look deeper.

I don't know about it's use on cows, But on horses they sometimes use a marble to keep them from cycling. The marble is used to make them think they are pregnant.
