    Calf Slings...

we have the scale and the sling.  I have a nylon rope that I call my weighing rope.  I throw it over barn beams, or tree limbs.  Tie the scale off of it then weigh the calf. Our sling is real similar to the one Sullivan's sells. http://www.sullivansupply.com/Iowa/detail.aspx?ID=12810

4 days overdue.... What should I due?

I would not panic over four days yet.  Just keep a close eye on her.  How many days were you using to determine she is late?  (283?)  What is the breeding of the heifer?

    Clipper Blade ??

I am not an expert by any means, but I would echo the thoughts on the T-84.  I also personally like the 5/8ths inch blades for the Andis for necks.  (I think they also call it an A-5)

    Simmy folks - Mr. Amigo

Anyone have any calves coming from Grindstone Creek's Mr. Amigo?  He won Grand earlier today.  I believe he was Reserve at the Royal.  No surprise a Dream On son.  I really like his yearling pictures last year.

It just is an continues to be a fantastic marketing campaign.  i know of two sons of his that have sold.  One being Chopper for the 1/3 interest for 62,500.  The other was Iron Man that sold on the Pine Ridge sale down in Georgia.  Solid enough bull, but as you said great cows and great herds. ...

Once a traitor, always a traitor - Jane Fonda

I have learned to hate Jane Fonda since I could comprehend what my father was saying.  His personal favorite movie scene is when Katherin Hepburn slaps her upside the face in On Golden Pond.  He cheers every single time. All that said, I wouldn't start writing letters to ABC about the upcoming...

    Display bulls question

The Quarter Horse industry had some trouble with this around a stallion named Robert Redford.  He threw a fit and wound up suing over the name.  I did enjoy it when about 3 years later a stallion showed up with the name Rude Redford.

I can't really buy the thought they were bidding 6 and it was really 60 thing.  I heard it go down on the tv, and if you paid attention from the beginning there was really no doubt that it was 60.  My old thoughts of bidding very slowly and knowing what you are bidding would have been very...
