Just got the pic back from a heifer we have consigned to Allen Show Steers sale which ends 9/18/10 in Tiffin, IA. She is a Monopoly x Destiny's Ace .  Thought I would share.  more info in classifieds on the sale.

Zak, You would be well served breeding her to Doc.  I have seen him in person serveral times and have used him myself.  I am extremely pleased with how he works on clubby bred females.  feel free to pm me with questions about using him.

i know i have said this before about the Iowa State Fair, but the most impressive part of the day was the market heifer division.  10 deep in 5 classes and the final drive was incredible.  Congrats to all the exhibitors and their families. 

that's a good lookin rascal.  haven't heard anything about him, but he sure looks the kind.  i like his pedigree to boot.

I steer them unless i would use them myself.  Genetic package should be in demand and uniquie enough to bring a premium to his value as a steer.  I treat bulls as i would replacement heifers, i price them all, but i am prepared to keep them if they don't bring what i feel is their...

I have used Fly Predators in the past and have had great success.  I think it works best on acreages or concentrated feeding areas.  pasture scenarios would be a challenge, but if you have 5 acres or so you can get along great with them.  Get ahead of the flys early by putting out the predators...
