what bull have been working for you, and on what type of cows

Simmy- Pays to Believe, Uprising, Revival, Classified, 20-20, Optimizer, Broadway, Loaded Up and sons.  The list is truly endless. I've seen good ones from each and every one. And many other bulls.

    best simmental bull

^^^agreed! Only caveat is he will decrease frame some. Another bull that I've seen putting good fronts is MR CCF 20-20, and he makes them pretty powerful. Again though not a very big frame score.

How long will mom produce adequate milk for week old calf?

My thoughts are if the calf nurses and nurses aggressively (butting her while sucking) she should come into her milk. I would think if she wasn't providing enough milk the calf would do poorer that its contemporaries pretty quick.

    Cowboy cut simmy bull

I've only seen a couple calves in person. But their dams were plainer made, smaller boned and footed, and narrower framed. He sure powered them and made them pretty fancy. My kind of cows. So I'd use him on something needing some power.

What's on the ground so far?

I am really digging this Pays To Believe calf out of our Steel Force donor cow. She is stylish, sound, and awesome fronted. I am halter breaking her and an HPF Optimizer x Steel Force. The Optimizer is really looking good as well. Maybe not as stylish but certainly broody looking.

    3/4 Angus 1/4 Simmi Cows

Most important, what's your end goal? If they were my cows I'd do something from 3/4, 5/8, or PB Sim.

Anything less than 5 is to moderate for me. I like 5.5. If I'm gonna feed em I need to like looking at them. Lol

Need different tricks to get some dairy heifers to lead better I. The ring

Don’t take this the wrong way, but how often do you work with them at home? Dairy cattle was all I showed growing up and was pretty good at it, but I worked with them pretty religiously at home. Any difference between the rope halter and leather show halter? If they were snotty at home I just...

Slick shearing show heifers in spring

I m certainly no fitter, but my good friend is.  (lol) and I asked him this very same question yesterday. My show is the first weekend of Sept, and he said get it slicked off now. So I would think you should as well.

    Kappes Pendleton B6

I figured he would be pretty moderate, that's the reason I haven't used him yet.

    Couple calf pictures

The solid black calf is a Jan 9th HPF Optimizer x Steel Force heifer calf from a first calf heifer. She weighed 65lbs at birth and hasn't stopped growing since that day. The baldy is a Feb 21st Pays to Believe x Steel Force heifer calf from our donor cow. This calf is starting to fill out a...
