    Fans for calves question

Thanks Will, and I appreciate your input Knabe. I don't know where all this is going yet, as I'm not in the club calf business. More like raising good cattle in general, and I got a couple nice calves that I am breaking now and would like to keep them as comfortable as possible when tied up.

OFS, care to share what you use for fans?  How many? I don't think a swamp cooler or musters would work here. A cool room would be great, but not feasible at this time.

Could be I suppose. By your response I suppose if it was 90 degrees out you'd be happier without a fan moving since its the same temp air? I know I'd be more comfortable with air moving, regardless its temp.

Not an option at this point in time Knabe. Maybe in the future.

    Sure, but a 24" at 1000rpm or an 18" at 1500rpm?

More CFM or more velocity? Which will be the most effective for cooling?

    Yardley Utah

I like the bull and have plans to use him, just haven't yet. I've only seen a few calf pictures and one in person but they look good. I've talked to Griswold about his sire Hard As Steel and he says he will make "cows" as consistently as any bull out there. I really like Hard As Steel as well...

    Breeding Opinions?

My Innocent man is is pretty moderate framed. I have some sexed No Remorse I'd let go if you want. And I'm close to you so you could come get it and save some shipping.

    Breeding Opinions?

I have an Innocent Man here and she is pretty sharp. Would like to clean her shoulders up a touch.

    Breeding Opinions?

Can't go wrong with Broker on her. W/C Relentless would be one I'd like to see and S&S Sweet Dreams For cows I'd say Built Right, Milestone, and Steel Force should make em right. Edit to add: Bandwagon is another one I'd like to see

Nice looking heifer! I really dig her. What's her breeding? Where abouts in Va are you located? Another bull to keep an eye on is Gargans Red Revolver. I think he will bred a lot like his daddy Loaded Up.

    Simmental Opinions

I currently have one bred to Optimizer, and have 2 I plan on breeding to Broadway. The others I hope will be carrying P2B embryos. As for my choice between Revival and P2B.......that's tough and I'm not sure I can choose between them without seeing and knowing what cow was being bred. I don't...

    Simmental Opinions

Shell Shocked is good and have personally seen some good ones from him Hooks Broadway is another Revival has been making some good ones, saw a couple real nice calves last week P2B High Regard I'm just not sure how many of them are available in sexed semen.

    Which Simmi Bull?

I felt the ones I saw had adequate power, tons of depth and spring of rib, good fronted with a good neck and up headed. Probably my favorite thing about them is how they moved. Perfect stride and great rear legs. All that said I'm not sure how P2B would work in a 1/2 blood situation. However...

    Which Simmi Bull?

That's a tough one. I think they both will make a good fronted cow. And while I don't think you can go wrong with either one, I think I prefer P2B. I tend to like my heifers and cows a tick heavy fronted and of the calves I've seen oout of both Bulls P2B makes them the way I like them.
