You be sure and send them money out of your stash for all the treats, Sawboss had empty pockets after two trips last year.

    New Pictures of Fallborn Calves

Stay away from these calves until we get a chance to go through them! LOL  My oldest son has their paint calf from last year, a TankxHooDoo, and has had awesome success  so far.  The big test will come up in Fort Worth next month.  Good looking bunch Eric, keep the Sunseeker calf hidden out back...

Steer Planets National Champ “NCAA FootBall”

They always say it is too many extra games, and tough on the athletes.  Horse Apples, the professional teams play 18 to win a Super Bowl and our High School kids in Texas must play 16 to win a State Championship.  It is all about the BCS wanting to line their pockets, and the pockects of the...

    Building a Herd

My sons started their own herd program this year, by pooling their resources for one registered breed.  The youngest has two very nice Brangus heifers that he shows, and has done well with so far so they elected to stay with this breed.  My oldest son took out a Young Farmers Loan and purchased...

What's the weirdest thing you've heard a judge say?

"Son you are the best steer showman out here hands down, but the girls and their heifers just travel smoother".

What's the weirdest thing you've heard a judge say?

My youngest son has two Brangus heifers he shows, at our county fair this year his oldest girl wins breed and division with the baby getting buried.  Two months later at a local jackpot show we have the exact same judge, who buries the older heifer and then uses the baby for Reserve Champion. ...

    Fort Worth?

Both of my boys and myself will be there for the Jr. Heifer show, really school oriented, they will be with Garrison FFA.  We will be back with steers the last week, wide open and wild in the barn areas and show arena.  Hope to see and meet some of you there.

    Evaluate Please

We will also pull our steers back to stay in the lightweight classes, the big boys play too rough for us!  Chambero, the paint calf took another buckle this past weekend.  We are keeping our fingers crossed for the BIG SHOW, see you there.

    Fort Worth

The sift is not that big of a deal, as long as the animal is actually what you are trying to classify it as.  Where so many get in a bind is attempting to pass off a cross that pushes the envelope on breed characteristics.  This is why you see a lot of "Shorthorn" looking steers in the European...

    Fort Worth

It does not matter what breed you show up with, I can promise you there will be some studs in it.  Good luck our first trip was an eye opening experience, to the real world of showing steers.

    New Rifle

I have the Henry Golden Boys, chambered in .22 LR, .22 Magnum and .44 Magnum very beautiful and smooth actioned.  I am a gun fanatic and own multiple brands and cailbers.  In the .308, I enjoy my Remington Model 7 Stainless/Synthetic.

    New Rifle

I really like the .260 Remington caliber, shooting a 140 grain Nosler Partition bullet.  It allows for excellent down range shooting and has plenty of knock down for medium game.  The biggest asset is the lack of recoil, both of my sons have shot this caliber since they were 9 years old and have...
