    Scarlet and Gray Show Advice?????

This is just a jackpot show, not quite as large as the expo so the genetic pathway won't be open. This thread is from last year. The ringworm has seemed to be better this year so it's more of a use your own discretion thing as far as I have heard.

AI Bulls of the early to Mid 90s (Pictures available)

This is good. Take charge looks real sound up front... ;) we had a dj engineer daughter we raised, never saw any picture before now. she was a good cow. kinda cool how the picture of stockman reminds you of how similar northern improvement looks to him. i love how they seem to be consistent...

    My Turn Heifer...**Video Added**

we haven't had one over 85 pounds yet. most were 70 something and we had a couple in the 60's. they aren't the biggest framed cattle but they are normally smooth shouldered and they have pretty good hair to kind of top stuff off.

    My Turn Heifer...**Video Added**

I believe ours is bred to northern light. we like him for the first calves. stylish, well made cattle that are sound and come out easy.

    My Turn Heifer...**Video Added**

we have one my turn first calf heifer. she bred easily and has stayed in pretty good condition since being on pasture. she looks nice considering the little amount of grain she has gotten since she was a calf and in the show barn.

    Keeping Spring Calves Hair

they are gonna shuck at some point in the late summer. january and february calves tend to shuck in july normally for us and the march and aprils tend to shuck more in august. you are better off letting them shuck it out and then starting over in september and october because that's when the...

    NAILE Steer Show

i think i remember seeing one of them was 1348. although i also heard the lightest weight calf in that class was 1328. i never saw a program or a class list, that was just whatever info i garnered from some people able to watch.

Keeping Baby Heifers Looking Fresh On A Long Trip

it's pretty hard to do really. you have to have them trained to eat well away from home and to drink. pretty much everything gets wrung out after a trailer ride like that it's just how fast can you get them to recover.

    Andis 5-speed clippers

they feel great. light weight and ergonomic shape make them easy to hold. the cord sucks on mine though. perpetually stiff. i don't mind the power converter box on the end it's just that when i swing the cord over my head it just slides instead of bending.

What are your top 3 clubby bulls?

Nice data^ doesn't surprise me about carnac. he has been around long enough that people know what he works well on. heatwave and monopoly got used on absolutely everything and i doubt walks alone was far behind.

What are your top 3 clubby bulls?

i asked someone who had a few the same question about calving ease since he had used him. apparently they are coming easier than expected.

Welcome to the Big 10 Nebraska

if ohio state's offensive line wasn't flat terrible they might have had a chance against MSU. inexperience at skill positions lost the game in florida, dropped passes, overthrows, fumbles. what's really bad is when you have a four year starter that is a preseason all-american and rimington watch...

    Outragous hair

the heatseeker/heatwave genetic lines have always given us the afro type fuzz that just pops really well. the who lines have given us quantity of hair but it is more straight long hair.

    Adding rib on show day

if you are looking for high fill i would suggest, as the others have said already, to make sure they are stretched at home by getting them full there then feeding a winning fill or full tank or other expanding product on show day.

    RC show cattle sale

Anyone make it to the sale and have results? was planning on going but couldn't get the hay off the ground in time. in particular looking for lots 17 and 18 but wouldn't mind seeing most of them.

    Fluffing leg hair

the hair is still standing because it is semi trained after having glue in it and making it stand up for a while. hocus pocus will make hair fall out if you leave it in too long.

    Question......

when they take so many pictures and don't warn you the biggest problem i get is trying to keep from blinking during the picture. you have to try and hear the click of the lens and just concentrate too much i guess. really smiling super big seems a little cheesy but you try to look enthused/happy.
