Has anybody used the new Andis Excel 5 Speed clipper?

i know a few that are running them. i looked into getting some but was told to wait because sullivan's was back ordered with andis and that andis was modifying them. from what i understand they will come in silver and pink now and the cord is being adjusted. the people i talk to love them but i...

    Aluminum stock trailers

we have a featherlite and love it. it is about the only trailer i can remember having, it's a 1994 model and we've never had a problem with it. we used to haul fats with it once a week about an 80 mile round trip only but started showing cattle and it has worked out nicely. it is a 7 x 20 and is...

    Shag

what he is saying is that he fed it too early and the hair went through it's natural growing stage and then the calf shucked it off probably because it had too much hair. basically it worked too well. thats why you only feed it for 90 days, so that it is still able to grow and it is not losing...

    Eye Candy thoughts

i've seen several heifers that i have really liked. however, i can't think of any steers. the heifers have all been powerful but still sound and cowy looking.

"MY TURN" Information by Brad Hook.....please read.

i believe that hotmail's dam is ivy. if that is the same hotmail i am thinking of then he is a half brother to northern light. from what i have heard she is a mailman daughter or something like that.

sun seeker and jimmy the greek

i don't think i would try to downsize with sunseeker. the big knock i have heard on him is that the calves can get too big. that and maybe they can be a little coarse. which clubby bull doesn't make them coarse sometimes though?

    Heat Wave 100

if that cow has produced multiple full sibs that people buy semen off of, i trust that the cow will and pedigree will put some consistency in the calves especially when you are saving lots of money buying a full sibs semen. you never know, they may be better for the show ring today.

    ohio beef expo bulls

i really like the natural bull, the friction son. he was pretty cool. salty dog was neat too look at but he still scares me. there is such a thing as too much thickness and bone and he is borderline. The natural seemed to combine a lot of things together. he is definitely complete.

evan turner is easily the best player in the country and i don't just think that just because we go to the same university. last time i saw a comparison his statline is better and to say that he is the only player to shoot in the last ten minutes is garbage, watch a whole game and you will see...

Possible show steers for next year- what do you think?

now that i see a side shot of the manchild i would pick him. i still think you could feed the heatwave and he would look decent as a fat.

Possible show steers for next year- what do you think?

i don't know what i am missing in the heatwave steer, but from the pictures he is the only one i would buy. that carnac is way too straight and it isn't gonna get better as he grows. maybe if i saw another picture of the manchild then i would pick him but the heatwave has room to grow. i guess...

if ohio state was to make it that far then i like their chances of winning it all. i honestly think kentucky is too young to win the whole tourney, shades of the 07 ohio state team that depended on too many freshman even if they were first round nba draft picks. it takes experience to win six...

    Who Made Who?

i dont' think he will detract from the amount of bone. we used him a few times and the calves didn't look like much coming out but really grew and developed the look. ours have more bone than the mothers but not so much that it makes you scared about calving difficulties. they sure do get a nice...

    Shorthorn Steer Bull

i worked him some when he was a baby back before he sold. i thought he had a lot of potential then he kinda had all the pieces just needed more feed. i talked to the owner a few weeks ago and he showed me a couple pics and i thought he looked really good. in my opinion you should be able to get...

well, you have to be from ohio to show in the ohio beef expo since there isn't an open show that i am aware of except for the sale cattle shows.

    AIR'ing

sarcasm is an art form. anyways, it is a little more common than many would think. there is really no sure fire way of telling if a calf has been aired so people get away with it all the time. it's an easy way out from an actual good one.

    New Clippers

for sure the switchblades are easier to hold and lighter than the andis. i have both and use them both all the time. i think the andis may run a little faster than the switchblades so i use them to clip out the legs but i like how light the switchblades are for clipping out the body. The other...
