Is awesome in a calving barn. Dropping a calf on 50 degree floor vs a cold one makes a huge difference.

Oh and one more thing, all those hairy calf pics you see in the magazines.  None of those were taken in the last 6 weeks.  They look a little "different" now.  Let's just say it was a rough summer on the spring borns here in Iowa.

After flipping through the show circuit and looking on various websites it seems like more people than ever are raising club calves.  I'm starting to wonder if this is a bubble that is gonna burst at some point. I think the good calves will still bring good money(25K and up type calves)...

To me it looks like the punishments fit the crime.  Simply killing Penn St's football program would have been letting them off easy.  The sanctions handed down to today were the show cattle equivalent of : "you can still show, but you have to pick out your calves from the sick pen of the local...

I can't seem to figure it out from the website.  What is process of entering a steer for Denver?  Deadlines etc..
