The Red Angus magazine.......I saw an interesting bull advertised. Calvo Titan 64e. Has some OCC and brand names in his pedigree, The right kind, OCC linebred. Buffalo creek Lancer and Nebula.

I've bought Plus bulls from Marty. Last one was 3 quarter Shorty 1 quarter Angus. I think I need a shot of power from a full bloods Red Angus now.

I saw that Pelton's Wideload 78B has sexed heifer semen. Do many Red Angus sires offer this option? What are the Hot bulls?

I guess I'm for those 80 bwts and 1000 pound weaning weights. That's all that will survive the Goodland Ks semi-arid environment.

Beebe......it seems like......the smaller cow deal.......you can wean the heifer calves and then rough them hard. I just kick mine out on cornstalks with the cows. Been breeding them without much TLC. I think that in a big cow program.....you almost have to "develop" the heifer calves with grain...

I wonder if the Cattleman's Congress might be a strictly show cattle deal. I think the National Western may bring in a more commercial cattle people deal because of equipment displays and what not.

I think that the pen show is dedicated to them this year.
