1st Baby!!

OK...just got in from checking heifers.  My charolais heifer gave birth a a Who Made Who bull calf.  Had it unassisted in 50 mintues.  I got home from work at 1:15 and checked her then and then again shortly after 2:00 and she was up nursing.  WHEW!!!

Don't you just love the feeling when the calf is born and healthy. Congratulations

It's an awesome feeling!  I was worried about the momma being a heifer...but all went perfect.  Now they are up and roaming the pasture again with the herd.  Thanks!

He weighed 70 pounds.  Still doing good...only makes momma mad when he doesn't follow her.  She will sit there and bawl and bawl till he gets his little rear up.  But they are doing good.
