My calf is weight 748 right now and he has to be 1000 pounds to make fair in January. He's currently eating about 22 pounds a day. He's on purina fitters edge and a little of the finishing touch.( transfering him to finisher) He's also on a horse weight gain supplement and cracked corn.

He should make 1000lb by Jan 20th.  That is 80 days at 3.15lb/day.  Assuming a 6-1 feed to lbs conversion on 22lb/day he should gain about 3.6 lbs/day.  That puts you at 1036 lbs by the 20th of Jan.  Good Luck

How much has he been gaining daily now?
Is he cleaning everything up quickly or does it take awhile?
If he is cleaning it up quickly you may want to up it a little, to like 12 pounds a feeding or even try 3 feeding a day at 9 pounds a feeding, just start him off at about 7.5 and work him up over a few days to the 9.
What is the horse weight gain supplement?

He cleans it up but not that fast. I believe The weight supplement is called weight gainer

Worm him and try feeding him 3 times a day, you can increase his intake while giving him less per feeding.

Do you feed any hay?

What is the nutritional makeup of your supplement?

We always use the Stabilized Rice Bran, just wondering what the fat and protein are in your supplement.
