A couple pictures

Just wanted to post a couple pictures of the Champion Shorthorn Heifer at the OYE.  These were taken during the Grand Drive.  She calved April 4th.

yea. what is she? and what is the calf out of?

She's a Sin City out of an Eskimo Joe cow.  We bred her to K-Kim Payton.  Calf was a red, polled bull calf.  I looked at him when he was less than a day old so he probably has changed some.  Big boned, wide made and stout.  I'll try to get some pictures in a few days when he has filled out some and post on here.

This heifer has been a lot of fun.  We showed her as a calf and this year and she has only been beaten in class twice.  She was second the other 2 times.  I have shown Shorthorns since 1975 and she is probably the best female I have worked with.  My brother at Laverne, OK raised her and the boy that bought and showed her did an excellent job of feeding her and getting her showed.
