I stopped and snapped a few more pics today when making the pasture checks. Here are a couple more cows. The first is Six S Leah 55L... a cow that we flushed 6 times since last September. She produced 162 grade 1 embryos in 6 flushes, to average 27 grade 1 embryos per flush. She is the best flushing cow we have ever had. She came home after the last flush in April, and settled AI to Saskvalley Pioneer 126P. This cow would be too big for some people on SP, as she would be weighing close to 2200 lbs now. She is super easy fleshing and her calves are the same. She has had 5 daughters and 1 son naturally so far and all have become excellent animals. Her 08 bull calf sold to $5000 in our Spring bull sale to Texas. Three embryos from her sell in the Funding the Future sale in Springfield on Thursday, July 2nd.
The second cow is a 5 year old daughter of Diamond Captain Mark 27C who is also the sire of our our Elsie Jade and her two full sisters as well as Prairie Lane Sparkle 1K. This female is good example of why we like the daughters of the 27C bull. They are all thick, good uddered and easy fleshing females.
