A few young breeding bulls we are using-SH

[Shorthorn-Fed]

The bulk of the bulls we are using this year are home raised yearlings and 2 year olds produced through AI. The first bull is JT Gaurdsman 8G, a Stockman from a Titan 3T female who we used last year as well. He is a bugger to get pictures of when he is in breeding mode which is why the only one I could get has a cow behind him. The second is a white yearling bull JT Hercules 38H who is a maternal sib to the first bull and out of Yesterday. He is the first white bull to walk the pastures since the 60’s. The third bull JT Heimdall 35H is a yearling Stockman out of a CC leader 6th cow and is being used on heifers (plus 2 cows) this year. I am pleased with how they look after spending the summer breeding.

Great length on all these bulls. Good post breeding season condition too. If I could chose, the bottom one ticks all the phenotype boxes optimally for me.
Particularly interesting as I bought 400 doses of Stockman and 50 doses of Yesterday. Both breeding very well for me.
Yesterday progeny has been mostly heifer calves!

Great looking bulls! They are by top current sires but I really like how the top two have JT Titan 3T as a grandsire as he was a tremendous breeding bull.

Here’s an updated picture of Guardsman 8G. He is definitely getting a more mature look to him. His first calf crop is looking quite powerful. Hopefully he can see a show this fall.
