Keith was a great man.  I met him at the 2019 ASA meeting. I remember the kindness that he showed to my soon to be wife and I as he shared stories from raising cattle and gave encouragement to both of us.  I hope future generations, including my own, have cattlemen who will achieve what he did.

He had JMO the GENUINE SHORTHORN  PERFORMANCE CATTLE-Alot of big time breeders massaged numbers and rode his coattails I didnt see much price support at all re his dispersal when you consider the money they made off his cattle  Overall: Lauers were much better than any of their overpriced hard doing homgonized with Solution etc Cow Killer SH@#%^&*()T We were lucky enough to have two of his cows in the 90s  before the secret got out and they were great animals SIRED by GREENRIDGE BELKER who very few people have any knowledge of  O0

Keith Lauer was a master breeder.  His Shorthorns are maternal, docile, sound, have enough growth, and generally are commendable in marbling, stayability and CEM.

Keith Lauer's cattle are functional.  Besides having at least 2 KL cattle in our herd bull's pedigree, we have Gauge (bred by Keith) and Teddy daughters.  Use KL genetics if you want your herd to stand the test of time.
