We are looking into getting our own feed ration mixed using the base lines of AAOK's feed ration. My question is how can I figure up what the nutritional value of this feed or can some one tell me what it's gonna test out protein, fat, fiber etc. I just want to be sure of what it is because what I've read has said a few different things, one saying 11% protein and another saying 10% so just trying to be sure because we have a couple of 4 to 6 month old weanlings we want to show this year and I've been told for growing cattle you want 14 to 16% protein just wondering if this would work for us with growing cattle? Or what could we do to tweak this ration to make it work as an all purpose feed so we aren't having to buy feed for our mama cows, feed for weaned calves and feed for our show calves. Thanks again in advance.

We use something very similar to this and just add to it depending on what we are feeding. We have always gotten along very well with it much better than many of the begged feeds out there and it is less expensive

My thoughts are for the young growing cattle I'm going to just buy calf manna to add to it to up protein since that would be as needed and if I have one that is not quite the easy keeper I could add stabilized rice bran to up the fat and use it as is for our cows on pasture.

Oklahoma state has an online ration program. It will tell you the approximate analysis and what is deficient

At the bottom of the page is"related topics"... Seems to be a lot about AAOK.

On a dry matter basis this ration is 10.25% protein and 3.52% fat. The big thing I have noticed about this ration is the Ca:P Ratio is way out of wack.
