Wish I could have snuck some in hubby's coffee at expo! (angel) (lol)

Speaking of drugging people,    Hylands makes a product that I became acquainted with when Caitlin was teething called teething tablets, kind of hard to find but well worth the search, works awesome.  In my search for the teething tablets I found that they make a host of other homeopathic remedies, one being nerve tonic, little pills that dissolve instantly under the tongue and works like a charm to take the jitters out of our 10 year old before she shows and does NOT make her sleepy at all, just keeps her from crying, which she will do before she does anything that makes her nervous, sing, go in the first class at a show, etc.  The difference is amazing, instead of being jittery and nervous, she will focus and become all business and it is mostly chamomile in the product.  Just an FYI for anyone else who suffers the butterflies!

Drugging the kid before the show...  I can honestly say I have never heard of anyone doing that before...  The next thing you know there will be a pharmacy trailer right next to the sullivan trailer at cattle shows..

I once saw a guy give several calves ace one after the other using the same syringe - about the last one he needed both hands for something and put the handle of the syringe in his mouth. What he hadn't counted on was that everytime he gave the calves a shot of juice in the mouth some of it was splashed back up on the handle of the syringe. Not long after he finished - he was also finished! RW

Y'all need to go to a dog show.  Tack boxes are full of things for the dog & for the handler.

I would love to have a hidden camera in the hotel rooms and prep rooms for the Westminster show.  I suspect steer jocks would feel almost saintly.

And the most interesting part is that everyone knows it happens but there is never any drug testing done.. dogs or humans..

Has anyone ever watched the movie "DOG SHOW"?  It is hysterical.  How come peta has to pick on us cattle people and not the cat and dog show people.

Do they have kittie jocks?.  Professional cat fitters?   hahhahahaha   (dog)

Do people argue BITTERLY about cat genetic defects?    (argue)

I'm a little late here, but Thorzine hands down, Ace works but like others have said it drops everthing and makes them very drowsy.

Oh they do they do...there is a newly isolated gene marker for an old disease in my breed.. and there have been threats regarding this...

Gidget.. that's about right.. we wouldn't want those little foo foos getting more excited than they already are..

I watched a show on PBS about the cat show people. It was hilarious! These live & eat better than most people. My favorite was the lady that put under pants on her make cat so he could watch NASCAR on TV!

I wouldn't let KK watch. All I need is for him to get ideas that he needs to be served on a silver plate

If you had ever seen my daughter right before she went in the ring, you would be grasping at straws too.  At home, she is right in the middle of everything and then at the show, leading, blowing, showing off her heifers for people who would come to see them and then on the way to the ring, MELTDOWN!

And, BTW, I keep the nerve tonic in the show box also!

Sounds something like our little girl - she gets extremely nervous just when she gets ready to go to the ring, too.  And when she gets nervous, she gets nauseous, and then...  Well, you can guess the rest.  But once she's in there, she's all business, and she'll come out smiling everytime.

We did eventually learn that our oldest, who has ADD, could focus much much better in the ring if he took his meds an hour or so before he showed.  He normally only took them before school, but his doctor saw him show and suggested we try it - it did seem to help,  but he doesn't use it anymore (anytime).
