anyone fill this out?

why is the government involved THIS much in commerce?

why can't companies find out his information themselves.

amazing the coercion by the taxpayers, er the government.

we definately are not the US anymore.

we are a stalinist, corporate facist state

for some reason, the government needs to know the stocks of MINK?

i gotta think "helping" commerce is not the intent of this project we are paying for.

think about it this way.  a chip will be in your herbicide purchase and linked to your nais location and updated automatically.

again, why does the government need this MUCH knowledge?

amazing this just FLIES through congress, but enforcing laws against non-citizens?  forget it.

only the law abiding citizens suffer.

What survey are you talking about? I got some kind of survey from the govt, it was from some kind of census bureau. It had all kinds of questions like, how many animals we had and what kinds, and how many did we sell. The form is still on my desk at home. Debating whether to fill it out or not. Leaning towards NOT. Is that what you were talking about?

probably, you might want to check out the penalties before not filling it out.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53746

Actually, this Agriculture Survey was authorized by a 1997 law that was enacted to relieve the U.S. Census Bureau from collecting farm data, which had been an expanding part of its mission for several years. The Census Bureau is authorized by the Constitution to simply count the citizens every 10 years in order to maintain balanced congressional representation. Like all bureaucracies, however, mission-creep has transformed the Census Bureau into a national snooping machine.

incrementitis AGAIN, yet the citizens do NOTHING!

Some landowners will simply ignore the questionnaire, pay the $100 fine and consider it to be an expense of keeping the government out of their business. Some folks may try to avoid the fine and maintain their Fourth Amendment rights by responding to each and every question with, "It's none of your damn business," and mailing the form to the USDA by the Jan. 29 deadline.

It is a sad state of affairs when Congress has so little concern for the U.S. Constitution that it allows this kind of abuse by federal agencies. This 2006 Agriculture Survey and the NAIS are but small examples of disrespect for the constitutional rights of all Americans. Congress will change its collective attitude, however, only when required to do so by the voters.

of course this would identify you as someone who needed to have their premises invaded by the federal government, overinspected for compliance to absoulutely everything, with the rationale that you are a threat to society etc.

again, why is the government doing this?

(d) Enforcement.--
            (1) Fraud.--A person over 18 years of age who willfully
gives an answer that is false to a question, which is authorized
by the Secretary to be submitted to the person in connection
with a census under this section, shall be fined not more than
        $500.
            (2) Refusal or neglect to answer questions.--A person over
18 years of age who refuses or willfully neglects to answer a
question, which is authorized by the Secretary to be submitted
to the person in connection with a census under this section,
shall be fined not more than $100.
            (3) Social security number.--The failure or refusal of a
person to disclose the person's Social Security number in
response to a request made in connection with any census or
other activity under this section shall not be a violation under
        this subsection.
            (4) Religious information.--Notwithstanding any other
provision of this section, no person shall be compelled to
disclose information relative to the religious beliefs of the
person or to membership of the person in a religious body.

I'm thinking all pet owners should have to fill out this form!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this bill is because legislaters have TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much time on their hands.

i wonder how many govt employees, including elected officials have filled out this form correctly, including the PRESIDENT?

of course clinton must have signed this, as he took away water rights and other property rights from citizens.  quick bill, bite your lower lip, stick out your knuckle when you point, my you look handsome while you give away america.

I got the same survey. Not opened yet. To enforce the penalty they first have to prove you recieved it. Mine didn't come registered mail, did yours?

i didn't get one, perhaps someone took it and will fill it out for me along with all the credit apps.

i wonder how they decide who to send it to?  and if that knowledge stays within the "departement".  the department is the govt, no matter what they say.

Wouldn't be so sure about that, as many crimes/laws can be called "strict-liability". This means a "culpable mental state" (i.e., "I didn't know I was breaking the law") doesn't necessarily have to be proven.

and coupled with the word reasonable, one could enforce almost anything.  whether or not this survey is reasonable, as well as the penalties associated with it, are obviously out of the question in our commie government.  so go ahead, keep voting for people who promise you goodies.  you will get got good.

especially with the irs....if you file a schedlue f tax form or other agriculture type filing ...you may find that you have already commited yourself "to "continue to supply the agency with information  when requested"" simply by the fine print on your government disclousers for tax filings...(audits/workers comp reviews/ employees citezenship proof/payroll non tangable tax "reviews/ ect"........w 2 's  dont come registered mail either...jbarl...

is this the first chapter of what the irs and your accountant know but don't want you to know?

also

In Democracy in America, Alexis de Tocqueville famously concludes with a warning of the kind of despotism to which democracies are especially susceptible. Tocqueville warns that the passion for equality will give rise to a certain kind of degradation in which citizens will surrender their freedom democratically to a tutelary power:

Above these [citizens] an immense tutelary power is elevated, which alone takes charge of assuring their enjoyments and watching over their fate. It is absolute, detailed, far-seeing, and mild. It would resemble paternal power if, like that, it had for its object to prepare men for manhood; but on the contrary, it seeks only to keep them fixed irrevocably in childhood; it likes citizens to enjoy themselves provided that they think only of enjoying themselves. It willingly works for their happiness; but it wants to be the unique agent and sole arbiter of that; it provides for their security, foresees and secures their needs, facilitates their pleasures, conducts their principal affairs, directs their industry, regulates their estates, divides their inheritances; can it not take away from them entirely the trouble of thinking and the pain of living?

    ***

Subjection in small affairs manifests itself every day and makes itself felt without distinction by all citizens. It does not make them desperate, but it constantly thwarts them and brings them to renounce the use of their wills. Thus little by little, it extinguishes their spirits and enervates their souls....

found this on powerlineblog.com

we are almost there today, with incrementalism, the march is imperceptable.

what's next, the bush administration taking away guns?

My best guess as to how they might have decided who to send it too is, I have a stock trailer that has tags that are registered as a "farm Trailer". Cant think of any other reason why they would pick us out of the blue.

I had the delight of filling out this dandy little document last night.  As I whined and uttered an occasional expletive as I pulled files and calculated numbers, my husband observed that certainly a clever attorney could figure out how not to answer this document.  I explained that while he is married to an attorney, I am neither clever nor inclined to tempt the federal government into enforcement action.  However, since the census came in his name and he would have to sign it, I would be glad to quit answering.  He decided to bring me another beer and told me to keep working.

Ah, our tax dollars at work.

since this document originated from the house of representatives, i bet you that less than 10 people out of the 1398 steerplanet members will call their representative and voice their displeasure.  i called mine, sam farr D (communist).  they of course had never heard of it.  i let them have it.  they asked for my last name, which i gave, and said i was not interested in an automated email "showing concern" on an issue which i automatically delete.

I got one too. Even though we only have 5.75 acres, no cropland, about a two acre pasture, well really just a drylot. We do have a few cows and calves but do not know where they got my name from either. I filled it out anyway. ;D

i looked over my neighbors survey

i didn't see a section for number of illegal aliens hired, whether social security numbers were verified

this survey is a march towards a state run economy

as the voting public is conservative with their money, they seem undisturbed with how your money is being spent on entitlements, giveaways, benefits, subsidies, pork.  all the while the schools tell the kids it's not their parents money anyway, it's free.

the government is more interested in creating new laws for legal citizens for which they can fine them than they are enforcing the law, fining and prosecuting illegal aliens.  they are more motivated to give away your money to them than they are giving you back your own money that they took with laws that undermine the constitution.  when it's gone, and so is your property, i don't want to hear any crying.
