AI heifer

We are going to AI my daughters show heifer at the end of this month or 1st part of next. I am wanting to know how long people let them sit before they show them. We tried to AI last years show heifer and we could never get her to take. I have been told anywhere from 5 days up to 2 months. Help would be great we are new to the AI process and want this one to take. :-\

Ive Bred heifers and loaded them up the next morning,  put in embryos and hauled them home,  if she is going to have problems getting settled because of a truck ride,  mother nature may never decide to let her breed.  Avoid the stress to the extent you can but go on.

We used AI on our show heifers the last two years in April and had shows in May and they stuck with no issues.Not real sure there is a good rule of thumb for this as some heifers are stressed more at shows than others.

Around 30 days is when the embryo is trying to attach.
