So I have a cow which is registered but she calved late this year. I know nothing of older angus genetics, and need help knowing if she’s worth keeping to AI to something later. I’ve never AI’d her so I’m really wanting to. Her sire is CRA BEXTOR 872 5205 608. He goes back to B A R EXT TRAVELER 205 on top and N BAR EMULATION EXT on far top. The dam she is out of is CV 616 LADY SARA 61D out of RITO 616 OF 4B20 6807 on top and cow of RITA 0Q3 OF 6R2 RITO 505.
She has some Ambush, Bando, D H D TRAVELLER 6807 on her dams side. Is she worth keeping for another year to AI? Also, does anyone have any pictures of offspring out of these parents? What are your opinions on good sires to use on her? Personally I’m a Simmental fan, but I’d be willing to go full Angus.

Pretty solid maternal genetics.  She could be bred maternal, powered up for growth or cross with simm.  If you have a reg # would have a better idea what she is.

I want more performance and better everything else here:
For an Angus I would look at Yong Dale Excalibur 32X: http://www.bjcattlecompany.com/xcaliber.html
For a simmental LFE The Riddler:https://www.issuu.com/bouchardlivestock/docs/gtmad_cndcataloguecomplete3.1.1/9
Both these bulls are high performance and are not calving ease. How much calving ease do you need?
As for whether the cow is worth keeping why was she late?

So she is the only mature cow I have as the others are heifers so she’s in my uncles herd. I think her late Calving was on his bull because he had several that didn’t calve until later. I’ve never had a problem with Calving on her so since I’ll be moving her to my house I can keep an eye on her when the time comes.
