I'm AI two cows.  A 75% simmy heifer and an angus/simmy cow. The heifer may be too young to AI.. haven't decided yet. I'm thinking about introducing maine into the pedigree by using him and maybe using the hereford bull for a baldie. Low birthweights are a must and quality would be nice! For I'm looking to sell one of the two calves born for a decent amount! Let me know your thoughts and advice!

MBay's owner is on here- ZNT is his screen name..  Each conversation I've had he does a nice job of representing their operation, and their cattle honestly.  He self promotes some, but sure not as much as the majority of people on this board- and tha'ts commendable.

On the bull- I hear he's heifer safe, and pretty proven on that fact... If I were you though, I'd talk to the owner-- I'm sure he'll know the facts and stats...

Cyrus, if he's the bull I'm thinking of is a Traushe bull-- and he's got about 3 or 4 maternal brothers also in AI.  I guess they're momma is a real treat to own.

The best way for you to find information, is to do a search on here.  Type in the bull's name and read away, there really is a wealth of knowledge that the average person wouldn't expect..

I know of some Cyrus daughters.  2 of 4 didn't breed up as heifers.  The only ones in the 40 head that didn't breed up.  We fed out a freemartin heifer that was a Cyrus and she was a dream to feed.  Put her head in the bunk and went to eating.  Made a great market heifer.  Not sure on how good of cows they will make.
