according to Tom Waller  the cunia - iabon cross was the best.  others say the cunia - dadabon cross was as good. which would indicate that iabon was good with cunia.  others claim epinal and cunia was the golden cross.  all i know i that i have seen cunia animals that are too tall and would steer away from using him on capone.

who's better?  what kind of cows are you using?  each has their place.

Is Chill Factor safe for heifers?  Everyone says he is calving ease but I have no experience using him.

both chill factor and cunia can be used on heifers.  cunia tends to sire small calves on heifers and big calves on cow.  not many people know that Cunia's birthweight was 46kg, that's according to UPRA Maine-Anjou in France.

Afhm, I'll have to agree withthat observation. Although I have seen some remarkable Chill Factors (mostly out of Angus cows) and would have to give him my vote over Cunia himself.

Of interest to maybe some...A well noted purebred breeder made me aware that Cunia never sired a National Champion. I believe they work best on the cow side of the equation.

Linebreeding, or more like inbreeding in Chill Factor's case is supposed to increase the intensity of traits that are passed on to the offispring, for better or for worse.  So in Chill Factor's case, I think that the good things about Cunia are even more repeatable.  I'd give my vote to Chill Factor.  They may not be the prettiest cows, but they produce everytime.
