I've seen enough straight Angus calves from him to be impressed. Penn State's set has been uniformly complete, and his dam Libby was evidently something special though I never saw her. I have a couple too-big Maine cows bred to him and will use him on heifers this year.

I have had 4 calves sired by him so far.  I've got a really nice April 2012 shorthorn plus heifer, plus an Angus heifer and bull born in 2012.  The bull is really nice as well.  The heifer is ok--she's smaller framed, but she's out of a Pioneer heifer, and the lightest muscled of the 3.  All three were out of heifers and all three were 80 lbs.  I pulled one but it was an easy pull--I think more of a result of "dumb heifer" syndrome than dystocia.  I just had my first calf sired by him this year born last week.  It is a heifer out of a 6 yr. old cow and 82 lbs.

A good friend of mine is thinking about using Classic, but is somewhat concerned with the DOC #s on him. Have any of you that have used him noticed any problems with the dispositions please?

use him on heifers last 2 years.  the 2nd set should be coming within the next week.  Flat good cattle that come easy and have look.  i included a pic of a BC Classic x Grizzley heifer that topped our online sale this past fall going to Pryor Cattle Company

My Classic calves are all very easy going and docile.  We halter broke the Shorthorn Plus with no problems.  If the gate to the barn is cracked, she's inside and into everything.  The angus bull and heifer are calm as well.
