I truly hope I am wrong. I had a similar heifer this year
that I really like, but was not as good as I thought.
I think you may be disappointed in her showing results.
Though I don't know age or breeding-
I appreciate her look from the side. She profiles nicely.
I like her bone and leg. I like her length and depth of rib.
I appreciate her condition.
I don't care for the way her shoulder transitions into her neck. That transition
seems low. Her neck is not especially clean either.
I see her as a bit pinched in her heart and front rib.
Though I see it as a sign of growth, I see her high tail set
and protruding bone as a distraction in the level top line most judges prefer.
I don't think she will have the overall mass of other heifers
she will show against.
Some of these observations can be minimized by grooming and
show techniques. She doesn't have the hair to hide things.
Is she better than most heifers out there? You bet!
