Best bull to make good club calf mommas

Who in your opinion is the best sire to use to get the best club calf mommas?

It depends what your other half of the cow is. I would really like to have some more Who Made Who, meyer 734, and  chill factor cows here. You do have to take into account what the other half of the equation is on the dam side because I don't personally like having females with much clubby breeding in them because that limits who I can breed to. Also a cow that isn't a super freak steer looking gal will produce more functional sound calves when bred to the big steer bulls like Heat Wave and his sons. JMO

Thank you Telos...so I have a heifer that is out of total soultion and her mommas is a Cunia granddaughter. She is moderate frame sized, not steery looking whatsoever and is very sound. Would you have any recommendations as far as a sire?

Really like ZNT's Montego Bay bull...This years National Calf Champion. He is stacked with great producing cows plus he is a calving ease candidate according to pedigree and his own birth weight. His full sister was 70lbs. and is in their offering as well... He is also well muscled plus really sound structured. Should compliment those genetics in your heifer. Look up ZNT Cattle. He's a SP member.

Yes he is THF & PHAF.  I'm thinking of using him as well.  Others I'm considering Who Made Who , Cotton Mouth, & Yellow Jacket.

Sorry if you took offence to my reply. I meant no foul. I along with many others have taken most of the maternal qualities out of my commercial cows quickly by using too many clubbie bulls. My biggest calves this year are out of my oldest and youngest cows. The cows that should be in their prime production years just won't milk well enough to raise the kind of fast going calves that I like to see.
  I like the question every time that it comes up B/C I am always looking for a bull to make great cows. Did you try to do a search here to see which bulls have came up on this topic earlier. There have been quite a few threads in regard to making better cows. Good luck and again I'm sorry if I offended you. Brent

i have two heatseeker females with simmi on the other side that hve been given me really good calves. mainly steers, but did get a couple heifers. ive also have a lot of luck wth northern improvement daughters that are purebred angus

I almost hate to post this as I get thinking I sound like a broken record.  I love the Meyer sons Whiplash, Backlash, Radar.  They are out of a Cunia daughter that has been a maternal powerhouse.  Aftershock is out of her daughter.  They are just honest solid cattle that work well.  Not huge framed but broody and deep with spring to the rib.  That cow had guts and middle and with that you can make butts and fronts.  The combination would work well on an angus base.  Semen on Backlash was $20 last year and there is also sexed available.  Last I heard they are still trying to get calves from invitro and looking at cloning the old girl.  She is north of 15 now might even be pushing 20.  There is also an Irish Whiskey son out of her that is pretty cool and might make a cow or 2. 

Another bull that has me intrigued is Hairy.  He is out of the WAG Harrietta cow and Hairy Bear I think.  Looks to be a good one.  I think she also has a couple of Meyer sons that are out there.  I think the meyer on the bottom side is a great thought. 

I think the sim angus type cow that is sound and maternal you can then breed to some of the club stuff for the terminal cross.

I know its not a large sample size but I love my Hairy cow.  Shes the dam of the heifer in my New Pictures thread (shes the black brockle face in the background of one of the bottom pics). Milks great and I think she'll work well with a lot of clubby bulls.
