Best Clean Bull for Steers?

I am looking hard for a clean bull to make show steers out of that way I can still keep the heifers. The bull will be bred to fairly nice maternal baldy sim-angus cows?

If I can get 4 or 5 good suggestions I will set up a poll, the requirements are that the bull is TH & PHA clean and is atleast 1/4 maine. Right now I am looking at Rumor Mill, Predator, and I80. If I get no good suggestions I will most likely use Monopoly Money and sell the heifers at the sale barn  :'(

I am not for sure if he is 1/4 maine but how about one & only.  I haven't raised any yet but have some due in a month. I am hoping for the same thing as you. The potential of a good steer if not hopefully a some nice heifers that has enough maternal influence from the dam's side.  Sorry if he isn't 1/4 maine to meet the poll criteria?

I would use One & Only. You may get some good steers and the chances of the heifers being built like a steer momma should be is pretty good also. I believe he is already in the Simmental registry so that is a plus since you are using Simmy cows.

I think for now I80, Thriller, Simple Man, and I'm leaning HARD on Thriller. He is an example of high % maine, defect free, heat wave genetics. I think One and Only is a nice bull but I dont like the odd spotting in his white face. I forgot to include that they must be polled.
Whats wrong with Rumor Mill, and Predator?

True but I-80 also is out of one of the best cows in the country also and he has had higher quality calf crops JMO

This being Rumor Mill's second calf crop, many people may not be as familiar with or have seen the number of offspring as some of the other bulls being considered.  From what we have seen, Rumor Mill is siring calves with thickness, skeletal and structural correctness, dimension, and phenomenal hair.  The calves are vigorous and grow nicely.  

The first picture is of a Rumor Mill x Mancini (Ali) heifer calf; the second picture is of a Rumor Mill x Eye Candy bull calf.

I appreciate you considering using Rumor Mill.  We continue to be excited about his progeny.

I will add him to the poll. I have another question, I looked up Thriller in the AMAA and it says he horned? Is this wrong or was he surgically dehorned because he looks polled.

We and the other owners of Rumor Mill (Blind Badger, Shea Geffert, and Bob May) have bred heifers to Rumor Mill with no problems whatsoever; the calves have ranged in weight from 62 to 82 pounds.  They come easily, for they are small-headed and smooth-shouldered.  Both calves pictured were out of first calving heifers.  We also have a very fancy Rumor Mill bull calf out of a Sooner x Hairietta first calf heifer that weighed 74 pounds.  With this being said, we are very watchful with ANY heifer calving the first time.
