If you wanted Charolais - there are a bunch of directions to go.

If you want black - there are three main alternate bloodlines for steers:

Full Flush Lines - not used as much any more, but Friction is an example

Who Made Who lines - Who himself and Hannibal are good examples

Habanero Bloodlines - Several lesser known, but good choices such as Shamrock.

Other possibilities for black bulls include Torque, a new bull called Escalade (Strictly Business x Habanero) that I'm giving a big try this fall.

It seems to me every time there has been a big winner that wasnt Heatseeker/wave it has been a Hairy Bear.

Tell me more about Escalade bull, is he a Kris Black bred bull? Used Torque last year some of my best calves this year on CharX and Chi-Ma-An.
Thanks

Chambero tell me more about that SHAMROCK bloodline, I've heard that many times our one steer is out of a son of Shamrock.  I can't seem to find any info on him.
thanks

Shamrock was the high selling bull in one of the early Cream of the Crop sales.  Shamrock is a high % Maine out of a bill called Junior who himself is a Habanero son.  We have had two Shamrock sons for herd bulls - one is still going strong.

Escalade is a Strictly Business x Habanero.  High seller for Kris a year ago I think.  I'm using him on some Angus cows to get fales and some Angus-type steers (I hope)

I was reading this last night and thought IRISH WHISKEY or Paddy O' Malley was missing from the list.

For info on Shamrock contact Jr. Steltzur, he is the owner of yellow jacket and shamrock as well, however shamrock is deceased.

I may be the only one but I've invested a lot lately in a lot of semen from airharts Bulls I think the 804 and 577 / KC stuff is the kind someone can really use that's worlds away from anything common pedigreed
