What is the best double free bull out there now for making steers? Making heifers?

Very limited test but very impressed with my Dakota Gold and Hi Ho Silver calves, of course their out of clean cows but they look good.

Dakota Gold was a cow changer on the clean cows I used him on.  I suspected they were dirty tested and all came back clean so I bred them to Monopoly, MAB, and Here I am this year.

Hi ho silver has cow changing power (for steer production)but use him on really loose structured cows .

This is kind of a loaded topic..... There are so many good double clean bulls right now, but I'd have to say that Made to Order and Hi Ho Silver are getting it done right now.  Thriller, One and Only, Troubadour and See No Evil are also ones that come to the top of my list.  Just like with any other selection knowing your cows and having an idea how the bulls are breeding are paramount to success with any mating.  Some will work, some won't and others will leave you scratching your head, because it was certain success or failure.

GoWyo, A friend had one earlier this year out of a really good Monopoly daughter and she is really good.  Not extreme, just good and functional. Stout, big footed and has a lot of body depth.

I have a heifer out of THF MAB and a Blindside x Witch Doctor cow that is really impressive. 78# actual birth weight. Stout hipped and cool fronted. Cow will get bred back the same.

how is the structure on the dakota gold calves? heard of alot that pop in their pasterns.

HomeRaised, any pictures of the THF MAB calf?

what kind of cows do these bulls seem to work best on?

This is the THF MAB Heifer just a couple days old.

While Rumor Mill was on lease last summer, I leased THF MAB; I am extremely pleased with his calves.  They came small, possess thickness and symmetry, and are structurally sound.  Of course, the cows he serviced are quite sound, too.  Overall, I was happy with my experience.

For me, personally, he seemed to complement and click well with cows that are a bit softer made in their overall design, smoother shouldered, and wide made from hooks to pins.  The cows that possess above average bone and foot size seemed to follow and transmit that to their offspring.  Another attribute he added was a exceptional hair, and all my cows are THF and PHAF.

Again, this was my experience based on only a single calf crop.  Overall, his heifer calves, for me, are more powerfully designed with an extra look of femininity.

Best of luck

My cow follows the more typicalMaine design. Stouter hipped, long extended front, heavy boned, and tighter ribbed. She is THC so she has a good hair coat. Wade said the best ones so far have come out of Monopoly daughters. i asked Wade and Raymond each what I should use that is THF, adds rib, and can make steers. They both have me the same answer.
I also like that he is out of 7587 also.

This is the cow weighing 1000# at county fair. No cooler.
